We are holding an open donation campaign to help our community—building momentum and breaking down barriers for Denver’s youth cyclists.

Dear Friends of Front Rangers,
Over the past several years, Front Rangers Cycling Club has faced significant challenges. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, youth cycling participation declined, our enrollment fell, and attendance at our sponsored race diminished. Recognizing these challenges, our Board of Directors made the deliberate decision to step back from traditional fundraising and focus on rebuilding participation and securing the right leadership for our future.
I am pleased to share that Front Rangers is once again moving in the right direction.
Under the leadership of Executive Director Chris Clark, participation has grown over the past 18 months, with 20 young athletes participating in our programs during the past year. With the dedicated coaching of Kathy Zawadzki, our riders have developed their skills, built confidence, and achieved individual goals. Our athletes are increasingly active in organized rides and races, with the most consistent youth participation in the Cherry Creek Time Trial, numerous podium finishes, a state champion, and a state championship runner-up.
Beyond cycling, we continue to develop young leaders. An athlete representative serves on our Board of Directors, giving riders a meaningful voice in shaping the club. We are now on our third athlete board representative, a tradition that fosters leadership, responsibility, and community service.
Our Next Challenge: Removing the Greatest Financial Barrier to Youth Cycling
Our next challenge is removing the greatest financial barrier to youth cycling: the cost of a bicycle.
We are working to improve and standardize our fleet with durable aluminum bicycles equipped for both gravel and road riding, using standardized components to simplify maintenance and improve reliability. Each bicycle costs approximately $1,500–$2,000. A quality fleet will allow more young people to participate regardless of their family’s financial circumstances and help us build a team that reflects the diversity of Denver’s neighborhoods and communities.
Help Us Reach Our $30,000 Fundraising Goal for 2026
Our fundraising goal for 2026 is $30,000. Our athletes and families are already doing their part. By volunteering at aid stations for the Triple Bypass and stuffing swag bags for the Denver Century, they have helped raise $5,000 this year. Seeing parents and athletes working together to strengthen the club has been one of the most rewarding aspects of our progress.
Every contribution makes a difference:
- $250 — Helps purchase replacement parts and maintain our bicycle fleet.
- $500 — Contributes toward an interchangeable gravel wheel set.
- $1,500 — Can provide a new, durable aluminum bicycle.
- $2,000 — Can fully fund a new bicycle and help equip another young rider.
What You Can Donate & How to Support
In addition to financial contributions, we welcome donations of bicycles, bike parts, cycling clothing, and vehicles to support our mission:

With gratitude,
