Steve Morgan
Dr. Steven J. Morgan, MD, graduated from the University of Colorado and earned his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, followed by an Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.
Dr. Morgan spent over a decade as a faculty member, Residency Program Director, and Professor at Denver Health and the University of Colorado. He currently serves as the Director of Orthopaedic Trauma and Co-Director of the Trauma Fellowship Program at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, CO.
A recognized expert in Orthopaedic Trauma, Dr. Morgan has received research awards, authored numerous scientific articles, book chapters, and edited several books. He is a frequent lecturer at regional, national, and international meetings and is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. Additionally, he holds leadership roles in the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, AAOS, and serves as a physician consultant to the Justin Sports Medicine Program, caring for professional rodeo athletes.
With experience on boards of nonprofits and private companies, Dr. Morgan has also been deeply involved in youth sports. All five of his children have competed in various sports, including cycling, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, and alpine ski racing. His daughter is a former state cycling champion with the Front Rangers, where Dr. Morgan has served as a board member for eight years. An avid cyclist and skier himself, he continues to enjoy both activities.
